Question 1

What do I need for online registration?

Accepted Answer

1. Valid identification document (ID card, passport, or residence permit) 2. Vehicle documents (Registration Certificate Part 1 & Part 2) 3. Vehicle license plates 4. Car insurance (eVB number) 5. License plate reservation code (if desired)

Question 2

How does the process work?

Accepted Answer

First, the required data such as personal details, vehicle documents, and insurance proof are entered online. Then, an expert carefully reviews the details. This review may take some time as we want to ensure that all documents are correct and complete. After that, the registration application is digitally signed. The application is then automatically forwarded to the relevant registration office. Once approved, you will receive a provisional registration confirmation. The final documents and registration seals will be sent by mail. Our guided registration service supports you step by step: from submitting the documents to the final registration, we are always there to assist you. Finally, you stick the seals onto the plates and store the documents securely.

Question 3

How long does the registration take?

Accepted Answer

The online registration takes only a few minutes. Once you receive the temporary registration confirmation and attach the appropriate license plates, you can start driving immediately. The final documents and license plate seals will be delivered within 10 days by post. Until then, you can drive with the printed temporary registration confirmation placed on the windshield.

Question 4

Accepted Answer

It is essential that the last registration/reregistration of your vehicle occurred after January 1, 2015. From this date, the new seal stickers and registration certificates with security codes, which are required for online registration, were introduced.

Question 8
